Caroline started singing after graduating with a music degree in composition from Durham University. She then gained a Postgraduate Diploma in Performance Studies from the University of London whilst gaining experience in choruses and small roles with Southgate College Opera and Opera Holland Park.  At this time she received valuable coaching and advice through reaching the final stages of Channel 4's Operatunity.

Her operatic roles have since included performances as Queen of the Night (Mozart's Magic Flute) for British Youth Opera and Surrey Opera, Clorinda (Rossini's La Cenerentola) and Adina (Donizetti's L'elisir d'amore) for Vox Lirika, Adèle (J. Strauss' Die Fledermaus) for Steyning Music Society, Fiordiligi (Mozart's Cosi fan Tutte) and Tatyana (Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin) for Birmingham Chamber Orchestra and the Lace Seller (Britten's Death in Venice
in the Aldeburgh Festival and Airport Officer/ZDF Director (Mason's Playing Away) in the Bregenz Festival in Austria.

As a concert performer Caroline has sung in venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, Cadogan Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall and St John's, Smith Square and has sung in live performances on BBC Radio 3 and BBC Radio Lancashire.  She has performed as a soloist for choirs and orchestras in venues across the UK and Italy, particular highlights being Handel's Messiah, Vivaldi's Gloria, Schubert's Magnificat and Rachmaninov's Vocalise. She regularly works with Martin Leigh, conductor of the Birmingham Chamber and Halesowen Orchestras, with whom she has performed Mahler's Symphony No. 4, 
Mozart's Exsultate, Jubilate, Bellini's Casta Diva, Elettra's arias from Mozart's Idomeneo and more.  

An experienced session singer as well, Caroline has sung with the BBC Singers, RSVP Voices and Conventus in numerous concerts and recordings.  She was also a finalist in ITV's Search for a Soprano

Caroline has received coaching from David Syrus, Mary King, Anthony Legge and Donald Maxwell, and continues her vocal studies with Arwel Treharne Morgan.  In 2012 Caroline will appear as Lucinda in Jim Wordsmith's new production Besamé Mucho and as Countess Ceprano (also covering the role of Gilda) in Heritage Opera's production of Rigoletto.
