Versatile and unique, they perform classics from opera, operetta, musicals and films, as well as their distinctive take on popular songs and ballads through authentic Neopolitan and folk songs self-accompanied by classical guitars.
Darren, who was born in Lancashire studied at the Royal Northern College of Music. His singing career has been national and international, taking him to opera houses and theatres in Australia, New Zealand, the US, Canada, France and Austria.
Caroline, from London, studied composition at Durham University before starting singing lessons with Norman Welsby. She was a finalist in Channel 4's Operatunity and ITV's "Search for a Soprano" competition and has performed operatic roles and in concerts across the UK and France, Austria, Italy and the US.
As Trovatori, Darren and Caroline hope to encourage the appreciation of live performance by presenting quality performances that might be found in national theatres or opera houses to local audiences.
As well as catering for those who already appreciate classical music, they want to open it up to new audiences who might not have considered watching or listening to opera before.Since its inception only last year, Trovatori has already attracted bookings for some high profile appearances around the country and are in demand for themed opera/musical nights, concerts, corporate events, weddings and restaurants.
